Petroplan is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join their team in Qatar. This is a full-time staff position working for a leading national oil corporation, placing you at the forefront of technological advancements in the oil and gas industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop cutting-edge software solutions and interfaces to integrate with existing trading platforms.
- Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and IT professionals to build efficient and scalable systems for business growth and automation.
- Ensure seamless integration of your solutions with third-party and in-house platforms, adhering to established IT architecture.
- Provide timely technical support to trading solutions and maintain business continuity.
- Implement a DevOps framework for the Trading Solutions team to facilitate long-term success.
- Manage external developers, define technical requirements, and ensure successful delivery of business-aligned solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, conduct proof-of-concepts, and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Implement security measures, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure secure trading systems.
Who You Are:
- A seasoned professional with at least 8 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing multi-tier software solutions.
- Proven expertise in C#, Angular JS, and .Net within a commodity trading, banking, or hedge fund environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing and deploying systems on Microsoft Azure, with in-depth knowledge of Azure services.
- Strong backend API development skills using C# and knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL web services.
- Experience with frontend SPA development using Angular.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and Github.
- Proficient in writing efficient SQL and have experience with database design.
- Ability to manage the entire software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of microservices architecture is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-reliant and a team player, able to contribute to building a successful trading platform.
- Strong focus on delivering results is essential.
