Job Description:
Join a leading company in the construction and civil engineering industry as an Estimation Engineer specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and interior fit-out projects. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing tender documents, preparing estimates, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure competitive and accurate project proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tender Analysis: Review tender documents, including drawings, project specifications, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), scope of work, contract details, and conditions.
- Report Preparation: Analyze the scope of work and prepare tender study reports.
- BOQ & Quantities: Prepare BOQs, take off quantities, and send inquiries to procurement teams and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Tender Strategy: Implement tender strategies as directed by the proposals/estimation manager.
- Liaison: Coordinate with construction/operations teams to establish execution/method statements and reflect these in the estimation process.
- Cost Estimation: Establish direct cost resources required for executing various activities and prepare man-hour calculations.
- Technical Clarifications: Prepare and review technical clarifications for clients and incorporate changes as necessary.
- Pre-Tender Activities: Participate in pre-tender meetings and site visits, preparing reports to analyze project scope.
- Vendor Analysis: Analyze vendor technical and commercial offers in line with project specifications and standards.
- Comparative Statements: Prepare comparative statements to select the most appropriate vendors and subcontractors.
- Bid Documents: Prepare and coordinate required bid documents, including commercial and technical submittals.
- Post-Tender Coordination: Coordinate post-tender technical and commercial clarifications with vendors and assist in post-tender negotiations with clients and vendors.
- Project Assistance: Support the project and procurement teams during the initial project phase after the award.
